180mm "tomanowos" S-profile Pro-cut carbon steel Bunka
Tomanowos is the legendary and sacred meteorite of the Clackamas native Americans of Oregon. Tomanowos, meaning "visitor from the sky", is one of the largest whole meteorites in the world. The Clackamas native Americans believed the meteor was a sacred spirit. The warriors of the Clackamas tribe would dip their blades into the water that collected in the basins of the meteor to bless their conquests.
The hammer finish of the "Kota Tomanowos" line resembles the texture of the tomanowos meteorite. The Tomanowos meteorite is a "iron nickel" meteorite, and the pro cut steel chosen for this blade is a steel alloy mostly made of iron, nickel, and carbon.
This 180mm bunka is fantastically light weight and nimble, while still having the strength to get through tough food. The forged S-profile gives this blade excellent food release and reduced friction. Truly a top teir performing knife.
